The production of citrus fruit at Mosplaas Citrus near Keimoes along the Orange River is a major new development in extending the Karsten product basket.
The citrus production include Eureka lemons, Star Ruby and Nel Ruby grapefruit and the most popular Valencia types, namely Midknight and Delta.
The climate at Mosplaas allows the Group to harvest and pack its citrus fruit early in the season.

The Karsten Group grows and packs mainly Cantaloupe melons on its farms in the Orange River region.
The cultivar is Athena and is actually known as ‘muskmelons’ with a gray skin and juicy, orange, sweet flesh.
The Cantaloupe’s are harvested in November and December and sold mainly on the local market.
